Bell Primary SchooL

stage 2 upgrade and modernisation

Investment: $7.2 million
Status: Design Phase

We did it! After many months of hard work alongside the school community, we got the news that we’ve been successful. The Andrews Labor Government is delivering the $7.2 million to upgrade Bell Primary School!

The Stage 2 upgrade will include a new school hall and gymnasium - a multipurpose space that allows the school to finally come together under one roof.

This will make such a difference to the school and the local community. So proud of how, working together, we got this over the line.

Special thanks to Principal David Twite, Building Bell Primary School, the parents and students at Bell Primary.

Stage 1

Investment: $2 million
Status: Stage 1 - Completed

It was a wonderful moment to celebrate with Bell Primary School as we delivered Stage 1 of the Masterplan - a major refurbishment of the original main building. The $2 million project completely modernised the schools library as well as providing flexible learning spaces and ‘wet area’ for STEM learning.

For more information on Stage 1 or to view the renders of the reconfiguration, check out the Victorian School Building Authority Website.

I was also pleased to be able to get the school some extra maintenance funding from the Department of Education to make sure that the old building was sealed and secure from the elements to keep the brand new facilities in the best possible shape.

This is on top of the $200,000 we funded to build a new community oval for Bell Primary in partnership with the Darebin Falcons - no more dust bowls!
