My question is to the Minister for Public Transport, and I ask for the latest information on the major public transport upgrades underway in the Northcote electorate. Last year I was proud to let my community know that the Andrews Labor government will invest in much-needed upgrades to both the Merri and Thornbury stations. We will deliver improvements like new boarding ramps, new tactile ground surface indicators and upgrades to the PA system and CCTV.

The action I seek is that the minister join me in my electorate of Northcote for the official opening of Preston South Primary School’s brand new facilities.

Could the minister please indicate what kind of benefits Victorians, including constituents in my electorate of Northcote, can expect to see from the government bringing back the SEC?

It is with pleasure that I rise to speak in support of the Disability Amendment Bill 2022. As my colleagues have noted, this bill delivers on Labor’s commitment to promoting and protecting the rights of over 1 million people with disability who call Victoria home.

Together we have achieved so much. We have delivered upgrades and improvements at every local school, modernised our transport networks, opened new public health services and built critical social housing.

Born out of necessity in a time of crisis, outdoor dining and parklets have been embraced by Melburnians, including in my electorate of Northcote

For almost four years I have pushed for an increase in services for infants, parents and families in the inner north.

The fight for equality and safety is ongoing, and we will not stop raising our voices and making noise about it.

There is nothing more fundamental than the safety, security and dignity of a home.

It is with great pleasure that I rise to lead the debate for the government in support of the Victorian Energy Efficiency Target Amendment Bill 2022, a bill which makes important changes to strengthen Labor’s highly successful and ambitious Victorian energy upgrades program.

I consider it an honour to contribute to the debate on this significant bill, a bill which represents real transformational change in its own right but also represents a process of truth, investment and reform which will improve the lives of countless Victorians.

Recently I was immensely proud to welcome the Premier to the electorate of Northcote, where we announced a once-in-a-generation reform to Victoria’s kinder and childcare system.
