Alphington Primary SchooL

stage 1 & 2 upgrade and modernisation

Investment: $14.1 million
Status: Construction Underway

Alphington Primary School has reached an exciting new chapter, with major upgrades now complete and brand-new facilities open to students and staff.

Thanks to significant investment from the State Labor Government, this vibrant school community is now home to modern, purpose-built learning spaces that support students to grow, collaborate and thrive.

The upgrades include new buildings featuring flexible classroom areas and collaborative hub spaces, designed to foster creativity, teamwork and active learning. These are spaces where students can think big, work together, and develop the skills they’ll carry into the future.

The campus also now boasts two dedicated library resource centres, ensuring every student has access to the tools they need to explore, research and imagine. A new visual arts room is inspiring creative expression, while upgraded playgrounds are giving students more ways to enjoy the outdoors, stay active, and connect with friends.

Alphington Primary has always been a school that places community, curiosity and care at its heart. These new facilities reflect that spirit, giving staff and students a learning environment that matches their energy and ambition.

Combined with the upgrades at Fairfield Primary School, these projects are the equivalent of a brand-new primary school for the local area catering for an additional 400 students.

As your local MP, I’m incredibly proud to support this transformation and to work alongside a school community so committed to delivering the best for its students.

This is about more than just buildings – it’s about backing public education and giving every child the opportunity to learn, grow and shine.

There’s never been a more exciting time to be part of Alphington Primary School and there’s so much more ahead.
