Safer streets for Thornbury students
A re-elected Carroll Labor Government will invest $300,000 to plan for safety upgrades at two high-risk intersections in Thornbury.
Students, families and cyclists use the intersections at Darebin Road and Wilmoth Street, and Station Street and Collins Street every day.
That’s why Labor will fund detailed assessments and development work, laying the important groundwork for lasting improvements that will make these busy intersections safer for everyone.
This means working people will be able to get to where they need to go safer and sooner.
Labor knows local communities deserve safe, well-connected local roads.
That’s why Labor is backing safety upgrades on the roads locals use every day.
The alternative is a Liberal-One Nation Coalition who are promising $40 billion in cuts.
