Hi, I’m Kat Theophanous - the Labor Member of Parliament for Northcote in the Victorian Legislative Assembly.

SUPPORTING STATIONEERS IN NORTHCOTE

SUPPORTING STATIONEERS IN NORTHCOTE

A re-elected Labor Government will invest $100,000 to support local volunteer groups to improve amenity and community spaces at Northcote train stations.

Labor will back our passionate Stationeers to plant, landscape and transform more railway reserves into beautiful, thriving spaces the whole Northcote community can enjoy.

This means more welcoming stations for local commuters.

Labor knows local volunteers make our stations better places to be.

Labor backs public transport.

The alternative is a Liberal-One Nation Coalition who are promising $40 billion in cuts.

Quotes attributable to Minister for Public Transport Vicki Ward

“Labor is continuing to deliver better train stations for locals in Northcote – because we know this is important in getting people around.”

“A Liberal-One Nation coalition has no ambition for our state – they will cut public transport and important local projects. Only Labor will deliver better stations for Northcote.”

Quotes attributable to Member for Northcote Kat Theophanous

“Our Stationeers are proof of what passionate locals can achieve together. Through years of planting, weeding and care along the Hurstbridge and Mernda lines, they’ve transformed local railway reserves into thriving gardens that bring colour, life and beauty to our neighbourhoods.”

"I’ve worked alongside these volunteers for years, helping secure practical improvements and taking their concerns directly into Parliament. Their dedication deserves more than recognition. It deserves this real funding support.”
