Hi, I’m Kat Theophanous - the Labor Member of Parliament for Northcote in the Victorian Legislative Assembly.

DELIVERING A RENEWED SPAN COMMUNITY HOUSE

DELIVERING A RENEWED SPAN COMMUNITY HOUSE

A re-elected Carroll Labor Government will invest $250,000 to renew SPAN Community House in Thornbury.

This means SPAN can keep supporting older Victorians, culturally and linguistically diverse families, carers, people with disabilities and victim-survivors of family violence.

Labor knows community houses bring people together.

That’s why Labor will deliver $250,000 to renew the house’s physical and digital infrastructure.

Labor backs local communities.

But a Liberal-One Nation Coalition Government and their $40 billion worth of cuts would put this at risk.

Quotes attributable to Minister for Carers and Volunteers Luba Grigorovitch

“We’re backing community organisations because we know the critical work they do.”

Quotes attributable to Member for Northcote Kat Theophanous

“SPAN is a cherished neighbourhood house that has supported locals for decades. It has been an honour to work alongside them as they grow their presence and expand their offering to the community.”

“This $250,000 investment will help SPAN make the most of its home in Thornbury."

“Labor is investing in the places and people who are there for our community. From free community lunches, to art for all abilities, repair workshops, digital literacy classes, choir and playgroup - SPAN creates moments that make a real difference to people's lives."
